Getting  Your Marriage Convalidated at Mary Immaculate Church

“The joy of love experienced by families is also the joy of the Church.” - Amoris Laetitia, 1

We are delighted you are seeking to get your marriage convalidated at Mary Immaculate Church!  The Church is here for you, not only to plan your ceremony, but, more importantly, to help you prepare for sacramental married life.  The following is a simple overview of what you can expect.

THE PROCESS

  • The first step is to schedule a Prenuptial Interview with one of the priests of the parish (Pastor Fr. Michael Forge or the Associate Pastor Fr. Daniel Rendon) or with the Family Life Coordinator.
  • At the end of the interview, you will work with the staff to select a wedding date.
  • Various paperwork will need to be completed (see next section)
  • The couple will need to go through a marriage preparation process designed for couples already civilly married.
