Adult Faith Formation
Forming the hearts & minds of our adults. The following is a list of programs currently available.
the credo series
Have you ever wondered what we as Catholics profess to be true? What exactly do we believe, and why? This series will open up some of the hot topics of our faith, as well as some of the most basic (and most misunderstood) tenants of the Church's teaching.
"Jesus Christ calls us in thousands of different ways to follow Him, as we strive on the path for spiritual
excellence." In this film and study program, Bishop Barron explains how conversion is not so much a one time event, but a life-long process by illuminating six biblical stories of conversion, demonstrating how six ordinary people, just like you, were met by Jesus where they were and called to a better life through him.
Holy Spirit 101 Course
Mary Immaculate is home to the pioneering course Holy Spirit 101 which teaches lay persons how to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the Church. This groundbreaking program is the only of it's kind with both a nihil obstat & imprimatur - Classes & Retreats run continuously throughout the year. Sign up for a course today!
three to thrive
Hosted by Birth Choice's ministry Fully Alive, "Three to Thrive" is a fun and formative date night for young couples to gather, learn and pray together. This event occurs monthly and travels from parish to parish to allow for a variety of attendees. Any couples who range in experience anywhere from engagement to 15 years of marriage are welcome! This ministry meets a great need in the Diocese of Dallas to help form and prepare young married Catholics to live out more fully their sacrament of marriage in both practical and spiritual manners.
Learn to make Rosaries
Have you always wanted to learn how to make a rosary?
Come to the Church Conference Room the second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. and learn to make simple beaded rosaries. Mary Immaculate Church provides rosaries for the religious education students, for missions, and for the new parishioner welcome bags from the Welcome Committee. We hope you will bring your children, too! It’s a fun once-a-month workshop that will bring your family together with other families eager to share their faith in community!
Don’t have time on Saturdays? You can always come by and pick up materials to take home with you. How much fun would it be to make rosaries in front of a good family movie or even better, while teaching children to pray the Rosary!
